As we wait for the release date for “Detroit,” Big Sean speaks on the tape and why he decided to do it, as well he lists some of the features.
Big Sean recently revealed he’d be dropping a new mixtape, Detroit, on September 5th.
As anticipation builds for the project, Big Sean spoke to HHW about the tape, and features we can expect on it.
“A lot of people don’t want me to do it because they are saying ‘man, the album is what it is and I don’t know why you want to drop a mixtape,” Sean said of his upcoming project. ”But I ain’t doing it to let people know where I’m artistically at, I’m doing an album to let people know where I’m artistically at. I’m doing an album to change the world. I’m doing a mixtape because that’s how I came up. That’s where a lot of my core fan base is, my core believers, and people who believe in me.”
“The mixtape has J.Cole, Chris Brown, Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa, you know, good ass features,” Sean said.
